Protect yourself from mobile money and banking fraud
Fraudsters are always finding new tricks. Knowing the warning signs keeps your savings safe when you bank on your phone.
Mobile banking makes it easy to save, borrow and pay from anywhere. It also means fraudsters try to reach members through calls, texts and social media.
Never share your PIN or OTP
Tai Sacco staff will never ask for your PIN, password or one-time code. Anyone who does is a fraudster, even if they know your name and account details.
Be wary of urgency
Messages claiming your account will be closed, or that you have won a prize, are designed to rush you. Hang up and call our official customer care numbers to confirm.
Reverse carefully
If someone claims they sent you money by mistake, check your actual balance before reversing anything. Report suspicious activity to us immediately.
